Dionysus computes ordinary persistence but is kept in the corpus mainly for what it adds beyond that: vineyards for tracking diagrams as a filtration deforms, and circular coordinates derived from one-dimensional cohomology. Those are the capabilities that distinguish it from the faster Rips-focused engines.

It resolves from conda-forge with no recipe required.
